Heading North!!??

     Vacation...while most people head south for some warmth during Feb. break, we head north. I guess it's just the fact that we're getting away. Away from computers :(   cell phones, laundry, TV,  etc. So, today is reserved for packing warm clothes, some groceries, books, knitting and cameras. Just ordered several books for my Nook since I won't be reading my computer :(

Above is my first project for Stampers Best. Guess I have to make my name and blog name a bit bigger!
     Stayed up way late last night. Worked on my shabby chic mini and putting up a tutorial later today. Showcasing the lace borders stamp from Stampers Best. I really love how it came out so far. Decorated the front cover but need to embellish the rest of he pages. Awaiting my small photos from Shutterfly to put into it. It will be titled, Winter Fun, 2011.

Countdown to Vacation!...

     3 more days until vacation. Looking for some down time in Pittsburg... snowmobiling and capturing winter beauty with my camera. Can't wait to see the house we're staying in which is part of Lopstick Cabins. Will post some pics when we get there. These are pictures we took last year.

      I've been pretty busy lately in my scrap room. Completed a product showcase video for Stampers Best and also did my first tutorial! Made a spring birthday card using 2 of their stamps; the pansy border and birthday sentiments. Once I figure out how to upload videos here, I'll include them!

Fishing Derby was a Blast...!!

Got a few pics of the kids. Ella really liked the bobhouse and stayed out on the ice just about all day! She kept looking out the window to check out the tip-ups. Snacks, juice, books and company kept her happy!!

Hailey was out on the ice most of the day. Rarely went into the bobhouse at all! She ran from tip-up to tip-up and played with the bait. Loved just walking on the ice and never seemed to get cold!

Chris caught this 21" lake trout and thinks that giving it a kiss will bring him good luck! All in all, we caught several fish but none were prizewinners. The grill was going just about all day with sausage, onions & peppers, and chicken. The snowmobiles were well used also!  We learned that Rick has a "need for speed"!!

It's been busy lately...

I've been meaning to write more often but it has been very busy lately.
I DID get my products from Stampers Best and can't wait to start playing with the stamps! My first intro video was sent to them and waiting for the logo and then it will be returned to me for posting. I will be giving a product review in my next video. THEN the fun will begin where I can start creating. I've got to learn about how to create tutorials and whether I have to speed them up or not.

I will be out of the art room this weekend since we're getting ready for the Fishing Derby! We'll have a full house and it is beautiful out on the lake right about now. Looking forward to seeing everyone and especially my 2 girls!! (Hailey and Ella). I will post pics soon.

I am posting a few projects that I have completed in the last month or so. I entered my first tag swap! I made an altered shadow box of the girls and I experimented in my art journal.

Super Exciting News!.....

I am now officially a designer for Stampers Best!! I am on the design team and will be receiving more information shortly. I am so excited! I will be designing projects, cards, mini albums, etc. to showcase their gorgeous stamps! These are high quality unmounted stamps at an unusually good price. They have unique designs, lovely border stamps, background stamps and many more. I have my eye on several of them! Many will look impressive in my art journal. So, be on the lookout for photos of new projects and also video tutorials!!!

Snowstorm Coming...

Here is comes again...another batch of snow. School is already cancelled for tomorrow and I'm looking forward to some time in my art room. :D
Ordered some paint yesterday. Golden Liquid Acrylics. Still learning my way around here. Lots to learn. Each time I post, I learn something new.
