Memorable Memorial Day...

What a great weekend we had. The weather fully cooperated today and was sunny and breezy. The sailboat went out for her first sail of the season. I stayed back since Ella was in taking a nap.
Jumped into the lake twice...the water pretty chilly! But warmed up quick since the air was up into the 80's.
Took Ella over to Tuftonboro Central School playground. She had a great time. After we went to Spider Web again for more flowers. Oh, my aching back and legs from bending all weekend. Most of the flowers are in including most of the pots and herbs. Also, the vegetable garden is in. Have to water, water, water for now, stopping by after school each day.

Almost the weekend!

Looking forward to some nice weather after 2-3 weeks of gloomy, rainy weather. The CF walk is on Sunday and I believe it will be sunny and in the 70's.  Just set up my new pink shelving in my scraproom. More room! I just took a few pics of Ella's mini purse and finished her 1st birthday album. Now I've got to put the pictures in. Maybe tomorrow night.

(this moment)

(this moment) - A single photo - no words - capturing a moment from the week. A simple, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember.

I also want to say that I am sooo glad it is Friday!! To soon to buy geraniums. I talked myself into not buying them this evening. The coming week will be cool and cloudy. I still have time to purchase the prime plants before they are picked over.
I spent this evening getting my 2nd swap ready to mail. I will never do 2 swaps in 1 month again. *Unless it's summer* I have made so many flowers this month! I'm so proud of them! Here is another photo before mailing.

Happy Mother's Day

What a beautiful start to the day we had! Sunny, warm and calm on the lake. Now, at 1:30 pm, the wind has come up, rain showers are blowing over us and it is much cooler! How come the fathers out there ALWAYS have a better day than us? I guess June is more predictable. What's that saying, "It's a woman's perogative to change her mind?" Well, this woman's (mother's) day has definitely changed HER mind and has brought us a complete turn around on the weather!!

Anyhow, creative endeavors abound down in the woman cave! I have my flowers in abundance on my scrap table. Still unsure as to what flower I'm going to make for my last one. We have to make 3 different kinds for the flower swap I'm in.  I am really liking the puffy ones. They are super pretty!

Happy Day to all you mothers out there!

Back to work...

I hated to see vacation end. It was so relaxing.
The CK convention was a blast! I spent WAY too much money! 2 trips to the car just to unload my purchases. I've been so busy since the weekend that I haven't had time to play with anything yet. It's killing me!!!
I received my on-line order from Carlene and my kit from Dayle. Still waiting on my mini album kit from Drew Scott (cardofmyeye). It's the watercolor bouquet mini kit. Super pretty!
I have entered 2 swaps this month on Scrappyhappiness. Dying for the weekend so I can get started.

So, it seems to be "feast or famine" with this crazy, passionate hobby of mine.
