February Vacation!!! Hooray!

Getting Ready for Pittsburg, again.  I hate to pack, ugh. I either bring too much or forget some real necessities. So instead, I'm updating my blog. It;s been a long time. I should have some good photos from up north to post when I get back. I'd like to start posting regularly again.

Trying to get some scrap supplies ready to bring with me. Maybe a couple of layouts? It sure is hard to pack when you don't have a project in mind..Maybe I'll just bring some paint, etc and play in my art journal.
I just recently finished my first altered cigar box. Love it!! Here's some pics.

The inside base is covered in felt. A nice robin's egg blue. It sits on my dresser at the moment and holds just a few things. Well, gotta go to town to get some supplies. Dave's ready to get going. Be back soon.

Happy 2012

New year, new plans and new goals. A nice little word for me this year is "renew".
Time will tell what that actually entails. But, the journey has begun, 1 day at a time. Here's to a new year to renew...

Halloween os Coming...

Well, it's been a productive weekend. Sailboat is out for the season. Had a chilly, windy ride across the Broads so it was good to get back home by the fire.
Actually had some time in my scrap room this weekend also! Planned on getting my Halloween mini completed so I can move on to other projects. I do love how it came out...especially the cover and hinged pages.  Just love the Authentique paper collection.
Patiently waiting for a few orders to come in the mail...Karlas001, I am Roses, Joann's. Can't wait.
Then, it's going to be time to think of Christmas shopping. Hard to believe, huh?
Have a great scrappy week!

I LOVE Halloween

Just completed my vintage rolodex cards for my YPP swap.  I love the images I found and the traditional orange/black color scheme. Here are some pics. Then I'll get ready to put them in the mail.
It's been a productive weekend!

Teasing Tuesday!

Well, the shower went well but soooo exhausting!  The food was abundant to say the least. The decorations were great and the bride, my daughter Kaylan, was so happy!!
I'm so glad to have this weekend to myself.!!!
My scraproom is teasing me each time I come home after work. But, not just yet... I can't seem to quite get the time crunch down yet. I'm so tired after a long day with those kindergarteners! My feet are killing me and I do think it's plantar faciatis (?) acting up again. So, I'm trying to take care of myself. The weekend is beckoning along with a lot of uninterrupted time so I can create. Hmmmm, now, what to create. Best get that planned out before Friday hits. Till then  :0)

Busy Weekend!!!

Well, my daughter's bridal shower is tomorrow. Phew, I'm exhausted already...
I'm beginning to know what a catering job feels like!! My car is emptied out and ready to handle coolers, platters, food to be prepped, food to be cooked, decorations, etc...
I will be sighing a hugh sigh of relief tomorrow night. Get some sleep, then off to school again on  Monday  to greet all those little kindergarteners for their 2nd week of school!

May the force be with me...

Hurricane Irene GIVEAWAYS!!!

I put the hurricane on this giveaway to get everyone's attention!  Now, the real reason for the giveaway:
my 1 year anniversary on You Tube AND my 250 subscribers!!
Summer is my time to really create and upload videos. Now that my momentum is going, I hope to keep it up this school year and continue to upload almost as much as the summertime!!

I have learned so much from all my YTers and my projects show it. There is so much inspiration and friendship in this community of scrapbookers.  Your comments keep me going... Thank you so much!

Friday August 12, Continued...

I believe Tam sent these out already...31 of them! They turned out beautiful, with gorgeous hot pink lollipop flowers on each, 2 mini shots of Marilyn, movie tape, and damask background. The back features a pink library pocket to match. This holds the shower information as well as the bridal registry. Supposed to be a surprise but I think we sent one to Kaylan!!

OK...there's a reason why I haven't posted. We had 2 wonderful days with our Hailey. Spent it at 19 mile beach and crafting downstairs...she is my buddy down in my scraproom!

Then, we had our 34th wedding anniversary! We spent an overnight at the Mt. Washington Omni Resort. Great time and took lots of pics to follow this post.

Finally, I followed a UStream from Followthepapertrail, Laura. Made a beautiful napkin fold mini album using Butterfly Garden paper by Pink Paislee(?). I'll check on that. Really beautiful papers...may have been a tad thick for this album. Time will tell.  Totally awesome cover. My best so far!

So, here's to end of summer projects and squeezing out every last bit of summer sun, warmth, and corn!!

Summer Peppers!!

I picked a peck of peppers~  well, not really. But they are coming on fast at the garden. As well as cucumbers, beets, lettuce, and squash.  We're looking forward to supper tonight. Bill has his first ears of corn out at the stand. Always look forward to that!
As for the peppers, I made 18 of these little babies!  Here's to summer vegetables.

Good day scrapbookers!
This is my first time entering a card for a challenge. I simply love My Favorite Things. This card features the stamp set, I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings and the medium scallop die. The flowers are from I Am Roses. This will be a card for my daughter-in-law for her birthday.

Tuesday Travel to Michael's

There's always a good day when Dave & I travel to Portsmouth. It was an overcast day that progressed to several heavy downpours. BUT Michael's is always a getaway. With coupons printed, we made our way thru the aisles. Shadow boxes 50% off! as well as frames. I got some needed scrapbooking stuff, of course. Martha Stewart punches, paper, doilies and bling. After treading thru the aisles several times (cause we didn't want to miss any good deals) we decided we were hungry. All the restaurants were full. We decided to go into Durham, past the big malls and had a bite. Margarita and all!!
All in all, a relaxing day. Groceries will probably be tomorrow. Anyhow, here's my haul for the day.

Sunny Sunday in NH!!

Hi fellow scrappers!  It's a beautiful day and I should be outside on the Lake. But, soon...very soon. I must tell you that I feel like I'm sending off my 1st born to camp!!! Just got my swap shabby chic album ready to be mailed. I added a very "sweet" tag to go with it. I hope my secret partner enjoys both!
Here's a pic of my tag.

Hope you're having a nice Sunday and enjoying the last of your weekend!  Thanks so much for stopping by!   :0)   Aimee

Fairy Berry Box

Hi Everyone!  My gosh, it has been so hot, in the high 90's here in New Hampshire. My scraproom is cool so that is where I've spent the last 2 days.
I put up a tutorial featuring Stamper's Best stamps on YT and he is my completed project. It is super pretty and was fun to create.  I was looking at this blackberry container after breakfast yesterday and I came up with the idea of a shadow box. The rest developed as I went along. I featured 2 stamp sets from Stamper's Best and HAD to include this fairy!

I'll try to include the complete tutorial below.
Enjoy, and have a creative and fun weekend!

Mid July Already??

I'm just beginning to relax and now I realize that it's mid-July!
I hope to get the most out of each day. I am getting up earlier this summer than last. Up by 6-7:00 am.
It's one of my favorite times of day.
Today, I put the pictures in Ella's album. I had so many pictures that I really had to
decide on the best ones to include. This album will be on display for her 2nd birthday party on Sunday, the 17th.

We got our first zucchini (of many more, I'm sure!) today and I'm trying a new recipe for stuffing it. Also our first beets of the season...

Who will get the Mini??

Good morning friends and fellow scrappers!

Just finished my shabby chic mini from the 2-part secret swap. I am so excited to send it out and receive my surprise mini!  Here are some pics.

There are a few more pages which aren't shown here.
I also got all my Stamper's Best stamps mounted and cut out. Now it's time for another tutorial project.
Here's to a wonderful rest of the week, everyone!

Fuji Freedom!

I know... it's a sappy title. I have a thing for 1st letter sounds sounding alike...must be the elementary teacher in me! But, anyways, I had a trek on my Fuji for the first time today to collect the mail out at 109. The air was dry, cool, and almost like Sept. weather...perfect for a ride! What freedom!
No sore butt yet.
I got a good start on my swap mini album. I'll show a sneak peek but the photos do NOT do it justice!
I've found that my best creative time is from 8-11:00 in the morning. What luxury!!!

Mid July Already??

Just beginning to relax into my summer and I just realized it's mid-July! The garden is coming along fine and I'm including pictures of our first zucchini (stuffed) and our first beets (w/olive oil and wine vinegar).  Lettuce is coming out of our ears and trying to invent new ways to eat lettuce!!
I put pictures into Ella's 1st birthday album. It will be on display for her 2nd birthday here this Sunday. There were so many good pictures it was difficult to choose the best 12.
Here's to happy, productive, relaxing, summer days.  Ahh.
