Little signs of spring are still overpowered by the winter-like wind, snow and cold temperatures. The calendar says it's spring but...if you live in these parts, it can be one of the most trying times of the year. Too early for mud season and long walks, yet, there is a change in the air nevertheless.
The sun is warmer, if you find a sheltered corner, and the sounds are different.
The birds. They know the change. More socializing in the trees around the house.
The finches now have a twinge of yellow just beginning.
The cats are restless. They put their noses to the glass and have even ventured outside just to turn around and ask to come back into the warmth.
Patience. That's what's needed. Patience for this in-between time. A time to just watch...and wait.
A season in itself, really. Cheers, have patience, and enjoy the in-between.
One of my latest projects is my baroque wall hanging. The flowers are from Debbie H. and the paper line is Gabielle from Bo Buny. Notice my earring at the bottom?
