What a relaxing weekend we've had. By "we" I mean myself and my husband.
Our children are on their own.
They have found their niche and are very happy. What can be better??
I see bits of my hubby and me in both if them. It is so satisfying. Especially when we get a call for a bit of advice. Chris will call for a recipe question and Kaylan will call for something about school for her kindergartner. (hubby and I are both teachers).
We are free to explore our interests, when we are not working.
Retirement is in the near future but not thought of yet.
Anyhow.... it has been a super, relaxing weekend.
Spring is on the edges. Breezes in the trees are warmer. Birds are becoming more prolific. Calling or twittering above us. We are finding a bit of sun and hauling a chair to make the most of it. I am bringing my knitting and just listening to the quiet... listening to bird sounds and looking for them in the trees around us. A bit of kntting and a glass of wine has made this Sunday memorable.
On the creative side, I've completed my tags for the tea themed tag swap. The hostess is Carlene, the Pink Scrapper.
