Bag is packed, scrap tote is packed, coffee is out, project is planned, and I'm in bed early. I'll be heading out @ 6:30 am. Want to get to Manchester early so I don't have to wait in long lines. Time for some fun and inspiration!! AND staying right in the Radisson for the night.
Completed and posted 2 projects for Stampers Best. I'll get the pics later but I may include the vids below. It's been a very productive vacation so far. The weather has been not the greatest so it's been easy to get into some creative projects.

Mid-Week
I created my first project for my granddaughter, Ella. Had fun with the crackle paint and loved how it turned out. Hope she can use it for a small jewelry box when she takes the mini out! I also completed my teapot mini also so I'll include some pictures of that.
Love how it turned out. I have some pics coming of Hailey from Shutterfly. They are of our tea party together that we had a year ago. They should look really nice in the album.
Well, got my rolling cart out of hiding. I'm going to CK Manchester Convention in 2 days! Gotta get some necessities together. Planning on taking some great classes. One on Copics, one on making all kinds of flowers and....forgot what else. But, I got a spot at the Radisson! Woo Hooo! They called me this a.m. with a cancellation so I could fill it! I'm so glad I don't have to hunt for my hotel late at night! I can just head right upstairs and get up early the next day for my first class! Really looking forward to the Vendor Faire! Saved my pennies! lol.

{this moment} - A Friday ritual - a single photo - no words - capturing a moment from the week. A simple, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor, and remember.
A New Birthday...
It's my Dad. He is 93. MD *(Neurologist) What more can I say except he is an exceptional person.
Still sharp as a tack. Everyday is a "working" day still. Up by 8 and does algebra and reads to learn every day, most of the day.
He still teaches, usually tries on his children. There are 4 of us. I'm the youngest. Though he is not my main teacher anymore, he continues to teach us, whether we like it or not! He is an old-fashioned doctor. ..In the good old days..when everyone looked up to their doctor like they were a god. I've learned so much from you Dad. I'll love you always!

A Sunday ritual - A single photo - no words - capturing a moment from the week. A simple extraordinary moment - A moment I want to pause, savor and remember.
Spring is on the edges...
What a relaxing weekend we've had. By "we" I mean myself and my husband.
Our children are on their own.
They have found their niche and are very happy. What can be better??
I see bits of my hubby and me in both if them. It is so satisfying. Especially when we get a call for a bit of advice. Chris will call for a recipe question and Kaylan will call for something about school for her kindergartner. (hubby and I are both teachers).
We are free to explore our interests, when we are not working.
Retirement is in the near future but not thought of yet.
Anyhow.... it has been a super, relaxing weekend.
Spring is on the edges. Breezes in the trees are warmer. Birds are becoming more prolific. Calling or twittering above us. We are finding a bit of sun and hauling a chair to make the most of it. I am bringing my knitting and just listening to the quiet... listening to bird sounds and looking for them in the trees around us. A bit of kntting and a glass of wine has made this Sunday memorable.
On the creative side, I've completed my tags for the tea themed tag swap. The hostess is Carlene, the Pink Scrapper.

Still watching and waiting...
Little signs of spring are still overpowered by the winter-like wind, snow and cold temperatures. The calendar says it's spring but...if you live in these parts, it can be one of the most trying times of the year. Too early for mud season and long walks, yet, there is a change in the air nevertheless.
The sun is warmer, if you find a sheltered corner, and the sounds are different.
The birds. They know the change. More socializing in the trees around the house.
The finches now have a twinge of yellow just beginning.
The cats are restless. They put their noses to the glass and have even ventured outside just to turn around and ask to come back into the warmth.
Patience. That's what's needed. Patience for this in-between time. A time to just watch...and wait.
A season in itself, really. Cheers, have patience, and enjoy the in-between.
One of my latest projects is my baroque wall hanging. The flowers are from Debbie H. and the paper line is Gabielle from Bo Buny. Notice my earring at the bottom?

A Beautiful Sunday...
Sunny and around 40 degrees, but the snow is melting! Shoveled off the front deck in anticipation and sat out for a 1/2 hour or so. Had a full day of creating yesterday. Finished my winter shabby chic mini album.
Now for some spring!!

Thursday Thaw...
Just like a breath of spring today! Temperature was well into the 50's for the first time. Traveled home with the windows cracked open and looking forward to a few packages in the mail. MFT stamps and dies and some new 6x6 spring papers. Even though the time change is settling in and it is lighter in the afternoons, there still isn't enough time to do everything I want! Seems like as soon as I start to relax, I've got to get ready for the next day.
Well, these Copic markers are ready and waiting for my next down time. Got the 2 additional storage boxes for them and they look like this. Now I'm once again looking forward to the weekend and having some uninterrupted creative time. Here's to creativity...

A creative ending...
to our February break. Back to the routine tomorrow but, things are feeling a little different. The sun is brighter, the days are slowly getting longer, snow is melting with a constant drip off the eaves. Crows are calling early mornings again and the twitter of birds is becoming more noticeable all during the day as I walk to and from the house. Yes, it is definitely a bit different...
A few photos of my completed projects from the week. The mini is not yet completed, though. That will be this week's project in the evenings... til then...

Heading North!!??
Vacation...while most people head south for some warmth during Feb. break, we head north. I guess it's just the fact that we're getting away. Away from computers :( cell phones, laundry, TV, etc. So, today is reserved for packing warm clothes, some groceries, books, knitting and cameras. Just ordered several books for my Nook since I won't be reading my computer :(
Above is my first project for Stampers Best. Guess I have to make my name and blog name a bit bigger!
Stayed up way late last night. Worked on my shabby chic mini and putting up a tutorial later today. Showcasing the lace borders stamp from Stampers Best. I really love how it came out so far. Decorated the front cover but need to embellish the rest of he pages. Awaiting my small photos from Shutterfly to put into it. It will be titled, Winter Fun, 2011.
